Our Leadership

"And we urge you, brethren, to recognize those who labor among you, and are over you in the Lord and admonish you, and to esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake. Be at peace among yourselves." 1 Thessalonians 5:12
First Christian is a Bible-focused ministry. We follow the guidelines given in the New Testament for church leadership.
Elders, men elected by the congregation, are the shepherds of our Church and under-shepherds of the Lord, Jesus Christ. Our Pastor serves with the Elders, providing vision and direction.
Deacons, men and women appointed by the Elders and elected by the congregation, are responsible for areas of ministry within the church. They have authority to lead under the supervision of the Elders.
