Who We Are
|
At First Christian, we are a group of Believers who assemble as One Body within the community of Eureka Springs, Arkansas, while recognizing that we also belong to the Body of Christ throughout the world. We call ourselves "Christians" only, but we recognize we are not the only Christians.
We come from a variety of places and experiences. Sometimes we wear a coat and tie, and sometimes jeans and a tee shirt. Some use a walker, while others never stop running. Some have been members for years and others are just here for a weekend in beautiful Eureka Springs. We are friendly and will greet you like family, even if you're just passing through. We would love to meet you!
We are an elder-led, independent church. We call our own pastor and support our own missionaries. All of the decisions concerning our church are made by our leaders and follow the By-Laws that have been accepted and approved by our members based on the teaching of the Bible. We hold to unity in the essentials of Scripture, liberty in the non-essentials, and charity in all things.
We are committed to carrying out the mission of the local church by sharing the gospel with our neighbors as well as supporting missionaries all over the world. We are equally committed to providing for the spiritual well-being and discipleship of our congregation through an effective teaching ministry.
