Mark and Miki Golaway
Pastor Mark is a 1998 graduate of John Brown University, Siloam Springs, AR, with a Bachelors of Science in Education. He attended the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary, Springfield, MO, graduating in 2005 with a Masters in Divinity with an emphasis in Pastoral Counseling. In 2020, he completed studies as a Doctor of Ministry in Pastor Care from Lincoln Christian University.
Mark served in the Arkansas Army National Guard in a career of more than twenty years. After eight years of enlisted service, he was commissioned as a Chaplain. He was deployed to Iraq in 2006-08. He retired as the Deputy Senior Army Command Chaplain for Arkansas.
Pastor Mark has served youth ministries and senior pastorates in addition to his military service. He also served as an institutional chaplain with Tyson foods. For a year, Mark and his wife, Miki, served as houseparents at a youth home for abused and neglected teen-aged boys. They have also served as teachers in private and public school systems.
Miki is Mark's high school sweetheart, and they recently celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary. They have one son, Daniel who is married to Ania, and many "foster" kids who drop in from time to time.
When Mark isn't in his study, he enjoys outdoor activities, watching movies and documentaries, and wandering through museums.
