The ministries of First Christian Church are those activities which enhance worship and grow our people closer to the Lord Jesus Christ. You may join in and participate in any of the listed activities which might be appropriate for your situation and that hold an interest for you.
Counseling Ministry |
The mission of the Counseling Ministry at First Christian is to provide Biblical counsel, Christian care, and effective resources for individuals seeking assistance for themselves or others. There are three essential values that shape our Counseling Ministry:
• People need support, encouragement and guidance while journeying through life. Pain, discouragement and confusion are common to the human experience, prompting requests for assistance in our spiritual journey from time to time. • God is the Cure-giver: Ultimate healing is found in and through a relationship with Jesus Christ. God is the source of all healing. • We, the Church, are the Care-givers: God's people are the human resources called to bear one another's burdens and love one another. In doing this, people help facilitate God's healing and growth so individuals can increasingly become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. |
Women For Christ |
The Women for Christ group meets on the third Saturday of each month at 9:00 am. In addition to supporting one another in Christian love and service, they also support several missions projects here at home and in the Philippine Islands. They also support many of the aspect ministries for Worship Services.

Men's Group |
The men's group meets on the second Saturday of each month at 8:00 am for breakfast and a short devotional. The bonds of fellowship and support are forged as they agree together to take the leadership roles in our homes and communities. The men support church and outside projects as mission opportunities.

Doing Life Together Groups |
Doing Life Together Groups are our small group Bible studies. These groups meet in a host's home and share a meal while discussing Biblical topics in a real world framework. Each group meets in a different area of Carroll County, and are studying different curriculum and subjects.

Praise Team |
The Praise Team is made up of the instrumentalists and vocalists who lead us in worship each Sunday morning. They rehearse beginning at 8:30 am each Sunday to prepare for that morning's service. If you have skills and abilities in music, we have a place for you to glorify God with them!
|
Worship Support Team |
Members of this team work in a variety of vital support functions for our Sunday Worship. Perhaps you would like to serve as a greeter, or prepare communion, or provide the coffee and cookies. Maybe you have interest in media arts and would like to assist in the projection or sound departments. This set of dedicated volunteers make our time together in worship fall together so that we are not distracted from what really matters: praising and worshiping God.

Children's Church |
We support the parent's role in training up their children in the fear and admonition of the Lord. Parents can't teach their children about worship and ordinances if the children aren't participating. Thus, children are welcomed in our worship services during our music, communion, and giving. During the sermon, the children are invited downstairs into our children's church area for a time of age appropriate teaching and crafts.
